Classic Council Road
A classic blend of hymns and choruses with choir and orchestra
Worship that reflects new styles and artist
The Why: Painted on the filthy, fearful backdrop of betrayal, Jesus' words to Simon Peter resonate with the overwhelming restoration of the gospel. "Peter was grieved because he said to him a third time, "do you love me?" and he said to him, "Feed my sheep." (John 21:17). We are called to be "poured out as a drink offering upon the sacrificial offering" of the faith of our lunch break buddy coworker, our Monday night volleyball teammate, our hurting friend and our frustrating roommate (Phil 2:17). The purpose of the retreat is to learn together how to abide in Christ in a way that bears fruit to glorify our Father (John 15:7-8). As young professionals in a rapidly changing world, we can be confident in the rock-solid foundation of the gospel as the most important news of our lives.
The When: The Young Adult Retreat will be held on July 28 and 29 (Friday night - Saturday). Meet at the church at 6 pm to carpool/caravan to Jacob's Ladder Retreat Center in Chandler, OK (approximately 45 minutes away). Or arrive by 8pm for the first service Friday night. We will head home after the 6:30pm service Saturday night. The cost is $20 per person, including food and lodging. We hope this will be a time of encouragement and give you a spirit of willingness to step into gospel proclamation.
Questions: For any questions concerning the retreat contact Bear McAfee by phone at 405-640-1542 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
