Preschoolers and their families are very important at Council Road. They deserve the very best. Through loving teachers, we join with parents to begin laying important spiritual foundations that help preschoolers form their concept of God's great love. Your child is learning in his own way, even while you are growing as a Christian in your activities at church.
The mission of our preschool ministry is to assist parents by providing a safe, nurturing and fun learning environment for young children as they are taught the message of God's love. Preschool children learn Bible truths as they interact with teachers through stories, play and various age-appropriate learning activities.
At 9:00 am each Sunday, our preschoolers and kindergarteners meet in age graded classes to learn foundational truths about God from loving, caring, and consistent teachers. These truths are taught by weaving simple Bible thoughts and foundational Bible stories into age appropriate activities and play. Take-home discussion sheets are all available to help parents continue conversations with their little ones as we partner in pointing kids of all ages towards Christ.
During the 10:15 worship service, our younger preschoolers are cared for and loved on by volunteers and parents in age graded rooms on the first floor of the Children’s Building.
During the 10:15 worship service, our older preschoolers meet on the second floor of the Children’s Building. They participate in Kid’s Klub, where they celebrate through song and dance, and see Bible stories acted out for them.
On Wednesdays from 6:15-7:30, preschoolers will engage in games, activities, and Bible learning activities through age-graded classes that target the biblical and developmental learning level of each group. Activities include Bible study, scripture memory, games, crafts, missions, and hands-on learning experiences.
When a new baby joins your family, we want to celebrate with you and give your family an opportunity to make a commitment to raise your child in a faithful and godly way. We hold Family Dedication services two or times each year. On the day of dedication, you will receive a package, which includes a Certificate of Dedication, a special letter from the Pastor and a children’s book! For more information or to sign up for Family Dedication, please contact Sarah Hagar in the Children’s Ministry Office at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 405.789.3175.
